What is DAkkS?

Die Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle GmbH (DAkkS) ist die nationale Akkreditierungsstelle der Bundesrepublik Deutschland. Sie wurde 2010 gegründet und ist die einzige Stelle in Deutschland, die gemäß der europäischen Verordnung Nr. 765/2008 tätig ist.

The German Accreditation Body (DAkkS) is the national accreditation body of the Federal Republic of Germany. Established in 2010, it is the sole body in Germany operating under European Regulation No. 765/2008.

Die Norm DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 beschreibt seit April 2000 die allgemeinen Anforderungen an das Qualitätsmanagementsystem und die Arbeitsweise von Prüf- und Kalibrierlaboratorien. Sie ist international anerkannt und wird von nationalen Akkreditierungsstellen weltweit angewendet.

Since April 2000, DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 has defined the general requirements for the quality management system and operating procedures of testing and calibration laboratories. It is internationally recognised and applied by national accreditation bodies worldwide.
